Every time you visit Dubai, you are surprised by just how many parks, lawns, and green spaces there are to explore across the city – most of these are free, or you can enter there at a meagre entry fee and exceptionally family-friendly. Dubai Municipality runs several of Dubai’s parks, and for their maintenance and upkeep, a small cover charge is payable. The same is covered in the entry fee of a particular location.
Al Barsha Park:
This is a beautifully trimmed 52-acre park that is set around a large artificial pond. Here you can get pedal or solar-powered boats on the water for a minimal rent price. For an enhanced Dubai Tour experience, you can try pedal Go-Karts, bikes and e-scooters and do some exercise around the park. There are two separate park areas, and they are suitable for toddlers and older children. The availability of plenty of grassy spaces makes it apt for picnicking and a running track.
Al Ittihad Park:
Situated near Palm Jumeirah, this large park looks like it is under a 3.2 km stretch of the Palm Monorail transit line. This is an excellent route for strollers and scooters, and the park is equipped with playgrounds and water features. The facility of fitness equipment, stores, and cafes is also provided to stop along the way. Some people also refer to Al Ittihad Park as Palm Jumeirah Park.
Al Khazzan Park:
Opposite Dubai’s City Walk at the centre, you can find Al Khazzan Park. The easy way to reach this urban park is from the peculiar blue and white striped water tower. There are a couple of shaded play areas with swings, slides and some climbing frames for toddlers and older children. Al Khazzan Park is a good place for bringing your picnic. You can also look out for the tiny little children’s library too, situated here.
Al Sufouh Park:
Al Sufouh Park is located in a peaceful suburban area amidst Hessa Street and Al Sufouh Road. You will also find two children’s play park spaces in this comfortable little park. Compared to the parks of Dubai, this park is better for younger kids. The inclusion of a running trail, sports fields and a small coffee shop makes it impressive.
Bay Avenue Park:
Creating a touch of green to this concrete jungle of the Business Bay Area, the famous Bay Avenue Park includes two open-air gyms, a skate park, a trampoline area and a lot of grassy spots where you can enjoy picnicking. The facility of obligatory playground equipment, mostly covered under shade, is also provided. A nearby Spinneys supermarket is perfect for picking up a bite to eat, and the park, which often hosts a farmers market and yoga in the park.
Dubai Creek Park:
Located on the western bank of Dubai Creek, this park is one of the city’s larger outdoor spaces with lots of extra facilities and recreation to enjoy. It’s a famous spot for picnics and barbecues. The park also has a large botanical garden, a mini-golf and a go-kart track for an enhanced experience. There are many children’s playgrounds situated around the park. One can also check out the Dolphinarium, Children’s City, an education and learning centre including Planetarium attached to the park. In the winter season, the Creek Cable Cars run every day across the park, but it runs only in the evenings in the summertime.
Dubai Garden Glow & Dinosaur Park:
An annual event within Zabeel Park in the winter months. It is where you can watch dinosaurs roar to life, and the park is lit up each night with multicoloured neon creations.
A costlier evening experience than most of our Dubai’s parks, but what you feel is fun for a special treat. Dubai Garden Glow & Dinosaur Park is one of the best park experiences we suggest to our visitors. The dinosaur show is lifelike, which makes you and your kids watch this fantastic show for a longer time with proper interest. There are also the chances that younger kids might be scared.
