The Biggest Teddy Bear in the World
There are giant teddy bears, and there are giant bears that teddy bears. On the 28th of April, 2019 residents from the Mexican town of Xonacatlan have been admitted to the Guinness Book of World Records : for over three years, the Xonacatlan residents had worked together on creating the biggest teddy bear the world. To construct the enormous teddy using the same materials employed for the creation of typical stuffed animals purchased from stores. The result was an 19.41 metres long bear bearing his name Xonita which has an approximate volume 451.48 m3. 451.48 m3. This massive teddy is currently the biggest ever teddy bear, which makes it the largest stuffed animal in the world by default.
The World’s Largest Sock Monkey
Sock monkeys are made out of socks and are usually created in the shape of the monkey. They are extremely sought-after folk art toysand are often , they are handmade. Most often, they’re the size of a mid-sized toy. Have you ever wondered what would happen if you tried to create one of 66 socks that were calf length? Jody Lewis, from Bridgwater, United Kingdom, did just that!
Lewis took a whole week cutting socks apart and making them again. After a lot of laborious work, she was able to finish her workand set the record record for the creation of the worlds’ largest sock monkey! The monkey was stuffed with 15 kilograms of hollowfibre, her gigantic stuffed monkey was made in February of 2015.
“I’ve got a big list of things that I want to do in life and breaking a world record was one of them,” Lewis said to her fellow members of the World Record Academy. She certainly accomplished that! Lewis the monkey is holding the world record being the largest Sock Monkey in the world. It is 3.19 metres tall, and weighs 16 kilograms.
